I was on a business trip for one night. This hotel has great location near the metro and train stations, beautiful decor on the room (although glass doors to the shower and the toilet, might be uncomfortable if travelling with someone else), friendly staff and very tasty breakfast. As cons the room smelled like mold, I would have been allowed to changed it only the next morning, since it was already “used” (fair enough, I did sit on a chair for an hour). Also the music coming from nearby clubs was a problem for me as a poor sleeper, even with earplugs you can’t block the bass with goes on until early morning.

Clean and convenient hotel. Easy check in and well priced. Bed and pillows very comfortable. In an extremely busy bar area which is good for young people- however walls are incredibly thin so could hear others coming home/throwing up in the early hours of the morning. Also no lift and we were on the fifth floor. Overall fine.

My room wasn't furnished with TV remote. Reported to reception and was told they would try to retrieve it from another room. Two hours later was told by receptionist on duty that no remote was available and would have to wait until the next morning. Told him I was checking out in the morning. The worse of all was the lack of empathy from the receptionist and his attitude. He just couldn't care less. Tried to talk to management this morning and approach wasn't much different. He said he was to busy to talk to me while shoving food down his throat. Not even a simple eye contact It beggars belief that this people manage to operate in the hospitality business. They can create a monster out of very solvable problems.

- our room was on the fourth floor and every night till 6AM in the morning we could hear the very loud music coming from the clubs/pubs downstairs. We could not sleep for two days. It was really terrible and frustrating. - the toilet is literally in the room, separated just from glass “walls” and it was so small that none of us could fit properly. No privacy. really ridiculous - how can this even be defined as boutique hotel?

Some really good aspects, some would prevent me staying again

The room was fine for a single person, sharing might be a struggle in terms of space and the fact that there is no privacy for the shower or toilet. Even as a married couple do I really want to watch my husband on the loo? The building is in a great location but beware that the noise from the nightclubs below is relentless at night. Take your earplugs. I asked for a room high up and it was still very prominent. Talking of noise, the bedroom walls on the upper floor are extremely thin. I could hear everything (I mean EVERYTHING) from the rooms next door. This might have been less of a problem on lower floors. My co-traveller was on floor 2 and didn't seem to have the same issue. The building is a 5/6 storey townhouse, with very steep steps and no lift. If you're not sprightly, I would request a low floor. The staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. 5 Stars for the staff.
